This Friday the 13th was anything but unlucky for Avara Foods colleagues as teams from sites around the UK donned their festive best for Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day!
Save the Children launched its official Christmas Jumper Day seven years ago in 2012 as a way to raise money for projects it funds, helping children around the world build a better future. An annual charity drive, people are encouraged to wear their wackiest, most outlandish Christmas jumper in the name of raising money for the charity’s work. Colleagues from our Telford, Brackley and Caistor sites all got involved spreading Christmas cheer while raising money for a great cause.
Andrew Brodie, People & Communications Director at Avara Foods commented, “It was fantastic to see so many of the team at Avara get involved in this fun initiative and also raise money for a great cause. We’ve taken part in this campaign for many years and it grows in popularity every year – I’m sure there’s an unspoken competition to see who can wear the most outrageous jumper! Supporting local and national charities is at the heart of Avara’s values as a business and being a company people want to work with and for.”
