Avara Foods is proud to support Armed Forces Week – it’s a chance to celebrate our Armed Forces, the military personnel and the role they play protecting the UK both at home and overseas. The week is made up of days highlighting the great work different members of the military undertake at all levels including veterans, reserves and cadets.
Last year Avara signed the Armed Forces Covenant, underlining our commitment to those who’ve served in the military. The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that we acknowledge and understand those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives. Our company is an inclusive business that values diversity and strives to give people the freedom to be themselves; we believe that no one should face discrimination in any walk of life and we are committed to maintaining a supportive working environment in which people can thrive.
“Avara Foods is proud to be a supporter of the armed forces and welcomes those who have previously served or are reservists to our company,” commented Andrew Brodie, People & Communications Director at Avara Foods. “We understand the important role these people play in society and the unique skills they possess. Armed Forces Week is a great way to celebrate the great work of all those who have served and continue to serve, and we thank them for their contribution.”
